What to Expect from the Mid-Atlantic Hearing & Balance Center Program When I'm Dizzy

Step 1:  Schedule an appoint with Dr. Lassen via web registration or call Lakeview Medical Center, 483-7186 (Churchland Office) or 934-9415 (Suffolk Office)

Step 2:  Appointment with Dr. Lassen in his office at Lakeview

Step 3:  Hearing & Balance Assessment w/ Audiologist at Lakeview
Testing may include one or more of the following:

• VNG (Videonystagmogram)
  
  
• ENG (Electronystagmogram)
  
  
• ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response)
  
  
• Sport Kat
  
  

Step 4:  Follow-up visit with Dr. Lassen

Step 5:  Diagnostic Testing—Dr. Lassen may send you to the Health Center at
Harbour View for an MRI

Step 6:  Vestibular Rehabilitation with a specially trained and certified physical
therapist at the Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View

• Vestibular rehabilitation treatment requires an average of 8-12 sessions of balance rehab therapy

Step 7:  Final follow-up visit with Dr. Lassen after Therapy
